Blog

Colorful powder splashes with blue, orange, yellow, and red hues.

The goal of this blog is to explore various topics related to pediatric, adolescent and perinatal mental health. It is an active reading adventure and meant to serve as an alternative therapeutic tool. When you engage in a therapy session, you commit to a place of vulnerability. You have the opportunity to explore your thoughts, core beliefs, and be open to either accepting or challenging them. These posts provide a supplemental opportunity. My writing incorporates different therapy modalities which connect universal topics to the unique and individualized experiences of the reader. Let this blog drive questions, create meaningful discussions, and allow space for internal reflection and support. Ultimately, I hope it brings you peace, contentment, and delight.

Disclosure: My writing stems from ideas that arise from my own personal and professional experience. They are topics I am passionate about and want to explore further. Some pieces may include sensitive and uncomfortable topics that evoke strong emotions. Please take note of this. Some people may or may not agree with my approach or content. That is expected. Let us acknowledge our differences and teach one another with respect and compassion. Most importantly, while my goal is to provide awareness, insight, and support for those suffering with mental illness, it is not my goal to cater to an audience. It is intended to cater to my pursuit of curiosity. Self-differentiation is an important quality and an important thing for us all to practice. While my writing will continue to develop and adapt to the current issues relating to mental health, I will strive to remain true to myself as a mental health provider and writer.
